Wheel of Unfortune

It has been my dream for MANY a year to be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune, so imagine my excitement when I hear they are coming to OK for contestant tryouts! I was beyond thrilled. I blocked off my oh so busy stay-at-home mom schedule to have my chance....my chance at "THE DREAM." The crummy part was, it was all done on a lottery basis, meaning you only got an interview if your name was drawn out of a box. For those of you who may not know, this is the worst possible case for me, as I am the unluckiest person I know. I NEVER win anything. The only time I can ever remember my name being drawn out of a box was when I was the first name drawn out for jury duty. Lucky, huh? As you may have already guessed. My name was never drawn, not once, not ever. I was there for a total of 7 hours in a 2 day period with nothing to show for it, except for this captivating pic of me next to the Wheelmobile. I was so heart broken. Kyle thought it was a waste of a weekend. I on the other hand knew that if I didn't at least try, I would have always wondered what if. Now I know, nothing, absolutely nothing. Do not worry though friends, I will continue the quest until it is accomplished.... the dream of spinning that wheel, having Pat congratulating me on my win, Vanna cheering me on, and calling those infamous letters, R S T L N E.

A Party Fit For a Princess

A couple weeks ago, my little princess turned three. I can not believe she is already that old. For months before her actual birthday, she has been begging me for a "princess" themed party. How could I say no. It fits her perfectly too. The only problem was, 90% of the kids she wanted to invite were boys. It was a struggle trying to make it a little less girly for those boy guests. Hopefully it was accomplished. Happy birthday sweet girl! The kids got to decorate tiaras and swords
We also had a pinata which was supposed to be the kids "slaying the dragon"
She had a Cinderella and Belle cake
My princess!

1st Day of School

E started school for the very first time this week. It was bitter sweet. It means my boy is growing up :( , and on the other hand it means my boy is growing up :) He was so excited and not at all nervous. I was so proud. I tried to talk it up so it would seem like the coolest thing he has ever done. I wanted to cry and did get fairly misty-eyed, but I managed to keep the flood gates closed. Poor Reese , on the other hand had a tough time with it. She cried and "wanted her E." I was surprised by her reaction. It just made me realize how close those two really are. Congrats, son, you are now locked into the system for at least the next 14 years of your life!
